Amateur Radio License Classes
(above: Students from the November 2007 class reviewing questions.) | The Snohomish County Hams Club is dedicated to making it easy for any person with the interest and desire to obtain their entry level amateur radio operators license to have the opportunity to study, learn and to successfully test for their Technician Class License. Past President, Grant Hopper, KB7WSD is the current education coordinator for the club and coordinates the planning of classes including location, instructors, materials and the 100’s of other things that it takes to make these things happen. We are very lucky to have Grant and all the instructors working so hard for the benefit of the club and the hobby.
The club typically offers four or more classes per year and will attempt to accomidate groups that may have a special interest in obtaining their licenses on a case by case basis. | Classes are a "License in a Weekend" style with classes beginning at around 6 PM on Friday night, all day Saturday and Sunday with the exam on Sunday afternoon. Costs is $45 and include the book and exam fee and a donation to cover consumables such as beverages and snacks. The next Technician License class is currently not scheduled. We have not had any inquiries. We will schegule a class if we get some interest, so call or email for more information and to register your interest. License_Class_Flyer The next General License class is expected to be scheduled for sometime in May, 2010. Please email if you have interest in upgrading.
