Welcome to The Snohomish County Hams Club |
|
The Snohomish County Hams Club is a club for all hams. Our address is: Snohomish County Hams Club, P.O. Box 946, Everett, WA 98206. Our members come from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of experience in amateur radio. We have members who have recently received their license, and members who have over half a century of experience in ham radio. Our members come from all walks of life - retired military, doctors and nurses, millwrights and metal fabricators, mechanics, lawyers, technicians, cooks, engineers, managers, and many other professions. Amateur radio is a common thread and each and every one of us in this group, regardless of background shares this interest. True, our interests within the hobby vary as much as our backgrounds, but what we hold in common is the love for this hobby. This unites us all. More than that, no one person in the club "knows it all." As a result we share our skills, knowledge and our own interests. The end result is a greater enjoyment as well as an opportunity to grow from the experiences for every member that participates in the club. The club, through it’s members, tries to create an atmosphere where people truly feel like they can ask the "dumb question" because they will never be judged poorly for it. Ham radio is so multi-faceted that no single person ever can know it all. Chances are, no matter what the question, someone else in the group either has the same question or has asked it themselves in the past, and someone else, will know at least part of the answer! Come join us at one of our meetings and get in on the fun, share what you know, meet some great people and maybe even learn a thing or two. Visit our Calendar Page for dates and topics. Our meetings are always the fourth Saturday of the month at 8 AM. Meetings are held at the Providence Everett Medical Center, Colby Campus at 1321 Colby Ave, on the main floor 'North Entrance' in the Cafetaria's Conference Room located to the east of the main dining room. A nice breakfast may be purchased from the cafeteria. |

Guests and Visitors, please register to get access to much of the site you can't even see right now. The register button is off to the left side. WA7LAW.COM is a site to support the activities of the Snohomish County Hams Club and for the use by ALL amateur radio operators (and those that are interested in amateur radio, even if not licensed yet) in and around Snohomish County, club members or not. We welcome anybody, ham or not to join, even if they are not local to the area but please understand that our focus is on our local community. We leave the global stuff to others. The site is in its infancy and not everything looks or works quite the way we (or you) might want or expect. Please be patient, get involved and help us grow through your participation, your suggestions, and where we need it, your guidance and assistance in smoothing things out. For best results use the Firefox or Netscape browers. Please register. As a guest or visitor, there is a lot of the site that you cannot see or access. Once you register, receive the confirmation email, and click on the link in the email to confirm your registration, you'll have much greater access, including the forums. The forums are one of the biggest changes from our old site (true there are a lot of changes, this is just the biggest one.) We really, REALLY want you to participate in the forums. That way we can get to know one another, share thoughts and ideas and generally grow. Once you register, you can also explore more of our content and help us smooth things out! When you register, please consider using your callsign as your user ID. It helps others to recall all those different callsigns. One other thing that is neat is the fact that you can upload a picture to your profile and your avatar. That's another great way to help others get to know you! We have some great registered site users and club members who have taken advantage of this feature and now I can associate a name and a call with the face and say 'Hi' when I see them and not worry that I got that name or the call wrong. Thanks for visiting and we look forward to you joining or web site. 73, Grant Hopper, KB7WSD Club President |
